Mexico reportedly found no subsidies,
because the U.S. had suspended the
use of the EEP in Mexico.
Mexico said it would continue to
monitor the situation. Mexico also
agreed not to impose a duty against
Canadian wheat, because the Mexican
government reportedly believed
Canada had eliminated relevant export
subsidies for wheat.

NOTES
*  On July 14, 2006, Economia issued a resolution in which it declined Mexican producers' request for an adminstrative review.  The case is now before a NAFTA panel.

** The alleged circumvention involved the importation into the Mexican market of valves made of Chinese parts ("unassembled valves") assembled in the United States and exported to Mexico with certificates of NAFTA country (e.g., U.S.) origin. Mexico imposed AD duties on Chinese valves in 1994. AD measures of 125.96% remain in effect on subject merchandise made in China.
